Club Notes – 5th March 2018

The seniors played a third challenge game in pre-season away to Ardglass on a very cold and windswept Ardtole pitch. It was a game of two halves with the Fin leading by three points at the interval. A strong second half showing by the host saw them win by five in the end. Ardglass 2-12 Aughlisnafin 1-10. We had six minor players involved, five started and one came on as a second half sub. Congrats to Ruairi Quinn on bagging his first senior goal. Impressive showings from Oran Flanagan (0-02), Eoin Lundy (0-01) in attack and Callum Haynes and Jack Matthews in defence. Thanks to Ardglass for hosting the game and Aide Sharvin for officiating. The soup and sandwiches were well received afterwards and thanks to members of the Ardglass club for their hospitality.
Training continues this Wednesday at the 3G pitch at 9 pm and Monday 12th March at the same venue at 8 pm. A final challenge game may be arranged for this Sunday.
