Aughlisnafin senior squad training this Wednesday at 7.30 pm and Friday at 6.30 pm in Halla na Finne. Challenge games have been organised for Sunday 18th February and Sunday 4th March.
Baile an Locha minor squad training at 12 noon every Sunday at St Johns and every Tuesday at 7 pm in the Fin Hall. Our first challenge game will be held on Sunday 25th February. We will compete at the East Down Minor Feis 7’s which will be run as a pre-season competition on Sunday 11th March.
All Club Memberships are now due for renewal. There will be two registration events held at Aughlisnafin Community Hall to facilitate this, on Sunday 4th February & Wednesday 7th February. New members are very welcome. All those over the age of 18 who register on the dates stated will receive a complimentary ticket for the GAA National Draw.
The Down Clubs draw tickets are now available to purchase. They can be bought for £120 in one lump sum which enters the ticket holder into an early bird draw for £200. The second option is a £20 deposit and ten monthly direct debits of £10 each. Each ticket sold by the club over and above 24 will see a return of £96 per ticket sale thereafter. Over 40 tickets sold will result in an additional £384 payment to our club. We are pleased to report that we have already exceeded the mandatory 24 sales and we hope to exceed our next target of 40 but we need your help to do this. We would ask all parents of our underage players and our senior players to consider taking a ticket which works out at only £2.50 per week. The executive committee meeting last Tuesday was postponed due to the adverse weather and will be held this Tuesday at 8.30 pm in the Fin hall annexe.
